The Excelsior Center for Civic Innovation (“ECCI,” “we”) takes the information you share with us seriously. This page explains what this website collects, why, who can see it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
Get Involved form. Your name, organization, email address, and an optional message about how you would like to be involved.
Workshop feedback survey. Your ratings and written comments about the workshop. Your name, email, and organization are optional unless you ask us to follow up about staying involved, in which case we need an email address to reach you.
Automatically. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. We do not run analytics or advertising trackers, and we do not set cookies.
How we use it
- To reply to you and follow up on the ways you said you would like to be involved.
- To learn how our events went and improve future ones. Survey results may be summarized for participants and partners without naming individuals.
- To keep the site secure and working.
We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising.
Who can see it
Form submissions are emailed to members of the ECCI team and saved in a private spreadsheet that only they can open. We use these service providers to run the site and forms, and they process data on our behalf:
- Google (Sheets, Apps Script, and Gmail) receives and stores form submissions. Pages on this site also load fonts from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address and browser details when a page loads.
- Amazon Web Services hosts the website.
We may also share information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep form submissions for as long as they are useful for the reasons above, or until you ask us to delete them.
Your choices
You can ask us what we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email Lauren Hall, Co-Director, at lxhgpt@rit.edu, and we will respond.
Other websites
Our pages link to other websites, such as LinkedIn and the organizations our team members are affiliated with. We do not control them, and their privacy practices are their own.
Children
This site is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
